Dr. Garro grew up in NJ. She has always had a huge love for all types of animals, rescuing anything she could including dogs, cats, squirrels, and even raccoons. Another passion of hers is riding horses. She has competed in show jumping for over 20 years. Dr. Garro attended undergraduate school at Cook College, Rutgers University. During her time at Rutgers, she had the wonderful opportunity of being Captain of the Rutger's Equestrian Team and working as a Veterinary Technician for Dr. Brandon Furlong, the United States Equestrian Team's Veterinarian. She followed in her mentor's footsteps and went to veterinary school In Ireland. Dr. Garro graduated with honors in small animal and large animal medicine from University College Dublin School of Veterinary medicine in 2000. After graduation, Dr. Garro worked for 3 years in a mixed animal practice in Ireland where her work focused on small animal medicine, surgery, and equine reproduction. On her evenings on call, you could find her assisting clients in all types of small animal and large animal emergencies, including performing C-sections on cattle and sheep or delivering foals.
Dr. Garro returned to the United States in 2004 and worked at several progressive small animal practices in NY and NJ before finally opening her own hospital in 2011. Her goal was to open a state-of-the-art facility that provided the best possible medical care to her clients. Dr. Garro and her staff have devoted their lives to the care and well-being of all animals and it shows.
Dr. Garro has special interests in veterinary dermatology, internal medicine, and soft tissue surgery. She is a member of the NJVMA (New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association), AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association), and AAFP (American Association of Feline Practitioners). She enjoys cycling, horseback riding, rock climbing, attending hockey games, but most of all spending time with her husband, her two young boys, and her crazy rescue dogs, Madison and River, and her rescue cat, Willow.
Dr. Sereda grew up at the Jersey shore. She always had a love of animals, and developed a love for science/medicine in high school. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from the University of Connecticut. While in Connecticut, she also developed her appreciation of large farm animals and horses. She then went on to receive her doctor of veterinary medicine (V.M.D.) degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. After that, Dr. Sereda received advanced training in emergency, internal medicine, and surgery at Red Bank Veterinary Hospitals. She has special interests in emergency medicine and soft tissue surgery. In her free time, she enjoys reading, DIY projects, running, and finding her next favorite coffee shop. She also enjoys spending time with her rescue dog, Philly.
Dr. Anjelica Short is a native of Morris County, New Jersey. She has always had a passion and love for animals. Dr. Short aspired to be a veterinarian since she was 6 years old and further developed her passion for science and medicine throughout school. Dr. Short attended the University of Connecticut for her undergraduate degree where she majored in Animal Science. At the University of Connecticut, she worked at the horse barn with Dr. Nicole Sereda which is where their friendship began. After graduating with a Bachelors in Science, Dr. Shortwent to the University of Prince Edward Island in Canada to study veterinary medicine. Dr. Short graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College at the University of Prince Edward Island in 2020 with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. She has been practicing as a small animal general practice veterinarian since 2020. Dr. Short’s special interests as a veterinarian include dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and dermatology. She is a member of the AVMA (AmericanVeterinary Medical Association). Dr. Short enjoys baking, cooking, reading, traveling, and spending time with two foster fails Catniss and Cleocatra.

Molly grew up in Rockland county. She worked at an animal hospital in New York for over five years, until she moved to Bergen county three years ago. Molly enjoys grooming, dog walking, and pet sitting on the side from her home. Aside from work, Molly sings with a few local bands.
Luri grew up in Bergen County and earned a degree in Animal Science at Rutgers University. Luri had an interest in continuing her education in the veterinary field and later pursued and obtained her Veterinary Technician License. For over 10 years, she has been integral part of the veterinary field. She is a calming presence for our more nervous patients. Luri has a special interest in anesthesia and veterinary dentistry. In her free time, Luri is a devote member of her church as well as donating her time doing volunteer work and taking care of her 5 furry family members.

Tyler has been a part of the Butler Veterinary Staff for 2 years but has been in the Veterinary field for over 6 years. When she is not caring for her patients, Tyler enjoys reading, spending time with family and walking dogs for busy families. She is also a fur-mom to her two adorable dachshunds, Hudson and Sammi!
Veterinary Technician
Christine was born and raised in Queens, NY, and now a New Jersey resident. In her free time, Christine enjoys reading, finding new bookstores with her husband and spending time with her 3 beautiful children. Christine is also a fur-mom to her French Bulldog Shea, Boston Terrier Sadie and 2 rambunctious cats Whiskey and Sig.
Cassandra joined our Butler Vet family in 2024. Cassandra has been in the veterinary field for over 6 years. She is currently working towards becoming a certified veterinary technician. In her spare time, Cassandra, loves to hike, play video games, and snuggle with her cat, Moo.
Cassidy grew up in Vernon, NJ. She has always wanted to work with animals and is currently working toward her veterinary technician certification. Outside of work, Cassidy enjoys hiking, soccer, snow boarding and pet sitting. Cassidy is also a fur-mom to cats, Zoey, Earl and Hazel.
